I took my girlfriend here for her birthday with a great deal I found. We got cream tea, breakfast, a welcome drink and money towards a meal on the first night. We stayed in the Artists room in the house itself and had a lovely spacious room with even a bath tub in the room. We had such a lovely stay and the hotel staff were very welcoming. They even did a little towel work and gave my girlfriend a card. Little things go a long way! It is a great location if you want to venture out to Bath or Bradford on Avon or just for walking. I would highly recommend!

The best towels ever and largest bed in the Seamstresses room. Great shower and plenty of hot water. Husband did use the bath one night. Our second stay here..this time for 3 nights. Hard to find fault with anything... just would like the option of a pot of tea at breakfast rather than tea bag in a cup. But once we asked for a tea pot one was supplied full of hot water. Breakfast is very good. Evening meal the first night was excellent as was the wine. The gin bar has a wide range of spirits available. Excellent location..easy walk into Bradford on Avon via the canal or road. Staff supplied details of train times into Bath...super easy . Plenty of car parking and nice garden

Myself and my wife spent one night, we had dinner and breakfast, luckily the weather was sunny and warm, we really liked the drive way with the wild flowers, and the architecture of the building, the gardens were nice too. Check in was very smooth, and our room 11 was nice and big with a gigantic bed, my wife thought the bedding was soft and of a good quality, the room was nice and warm and overlooked a little garden area that was in need of a tidy and some flowers for colour. The bar man was very customer friendly and was also serving in the restaurant, the food exceeded our expectations and the service was good. We had a greats nights sleep and breakfast was very good too, were happy to use the late check out after going for a dip in the cold swimming pool. Yes there is room for improvement but nothing that detracted from a great stay.

Lovely small hotel great location. Would definitely come back. Great breakfast plenty of delicious choices. Evening dining food excellent but limited menu choices and a bit pricey. Limited contact with staff but those we did meet were friendly and accommodating.

We have been going to Widbrook Grange for evening meals, afternoon teas and even stayed one night approximately once a month for years. Always a friendly welcome on arrival. General banter with the staff, good food and nice atmosphere. NOT ANY MORE. No welcome, new waiting staff who barely speak with long hair hanging over the food, wearing scruffy clothing. One with very long false nails struggling to open a bottle of champagne. No more friendly banter. New Chef who doesn't know how to cook and serve lamb. No atmosphere. Problems with the bills and accused of using a voucher twice before checking. Nothing is the same and we will not be going back. They have ruined what WAS a really nice place to go.

A very warm welcome and a welcome drink made us feel immediately at home. Room was spotless and had everything needed, the cream tea was delicious, and both the evening meal and breakfast were first class. We made use of the pool which on a warm day was greatly appreciated. Wonderful staff, helpful in all ways.

I booked this trip with Secret Escapes and was very pleasantly surprised. Had a great cream tea on arrival with probably one of the best scones I have ever had. The room was spacious with great bathroom. Bed was very comfortable with great quality linen. A slight negative would be the rooms are looking a bit tired especially the carpets and this was the same of the restaurant. I understand the hotel was converted 10 years ago and it now needs a spruce up and that includes the grounds. I eat the restaurant in the evening and the food was very good - quality was of high standard and service was very good with a good variety on the menu. The breakfast was also excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I would certainly return.

Lovely hotel , staff excellent we were made to feel very welcome , stayed in no 11 , lovely warm room with a huge bed … wonderful . Food excellent , my only regret is that I didn’t take my swimming costume to enjoy the super pool. Ideally located for sightseeing

Absolutely fantastic stay. Everything about this hotel was amazing. Great service, great food, well priced drinks and very clean. The hotel is very well placed for Bradford on Avon and surrounding area and although just off a main road, being down a long drive there is no traffic noise. In fact it was one of the best stays we’ve ever had anywhere in the UK!
